Yearbook

The Key is more than just a yearbook—it’s a keepsake filled with memories from the entire school year! From class photos to event highlights, sports moments, and student stories, The Key captures the spirit of ETHS and preserves the best moments for students, staff, and families to cherish for years to come.

What's Inside The Key

Student Features From senior spotlights to profiles of students involved in clubs, sports, and activities, The Key highlights the diverse experiences of our student body.
Student Portraits A full section dedicated to portraits of each grade level—freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. For more information about Picture Day and senior portraits, visit eths202.org/students/pictureday.
Event Coverage Major events and school performances are all captured in detail. You'll see the energy and excitement that made those events special!
Sports and Clubs Get a look at the athletes, artists, and performers who made their mark this year. Whether it’s a big win or a recital performance, The Key has it covered.
Senior Section

Every fall, members of the senior class are invited to complete a form to submit their senior quote, baby photos, celebrity look alike, and more. Look out for the email from yearbook staff.

Special Sections From fun superlatives to themed pages, The Key always adds a touch of creativity to every year.
How to Order a Yearbook

Yearbooks are $65 and can be pre-ordered online on the ETHS Webstore starting in September every school year. The only way to guarantee a yearbook is to pre-order. Orders are accepted until May 1. There may be a limited number of yearbooks available for purchase at the end of the year, but these are not guaranteed. Keep an eye on announcements via email for the opening of yearbook sales and deadlines.

Consent for Inclusion in Yearbook

Under FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and ISSRA (Illinois School Student Records Act), ETHS cannot include a student’s name or photo in the yearbook or other school publications (like sports rosters or the graduation program) if the student is on the district’s Media Opt-Out list—even if they take a senior portrait or have their photo taken on Picture Day.

Students are added to the Media Opt-Out list when a parent/guardian selects “NO” in the Media Category during online enrollment or when updating registration information in myETHS.

Parents/guardians can view or change their student’s media consent status in HAC at any time. Visit this page for instructions.

Important Deadline

Yearbook photos and names are published based on the media consent settings in myETHS as of November 30 each school year. To be included in the yearbook, media consent must be set to “YES” in the Media/Web/Publications category by November 30, even if the student has already taken a photo.
