LGBTQ+ Supports

Evanston Township High School is committed to maintaining a school environment where all students feel safe, valued, and affirmed in their identities. ETHS has long supported the right of students and staff to be out and proud.

We provide dedicated supports and resources for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, and gender-expansive students and families.

Preventing and Addressing Discrimination, Harassment, and Bullying

ETHS is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students, regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, or any other legally protected status. We are committed to keeping our school safe, supportive, and free from discrimination.

Students who experience or witness behavior that makes them feel unsafe, disrespected, or targeted are encouraged to speak with a trusted adult at school—such as a counselor, social worker, teacher, or dean—or submit a report using the Incident Reporting Form. Learn more about the procedures for filing complaints of bullying or harassment at on the Nondiscrimination Policy page.

LGBTQ+ Family Information Session

ETHS hosts an annual information session for LGBTQ+ students and their families to offer support, answer questions, and provide an overview of support offered at ETHS.
