Nearly 900 freshmen got a hands-on look at high-demand skilled trades during Evanston Township High School’s first-ever FASH Skilled Trades Event, held in collaboration with the Trade Collective.

This November 17 event encouraged students to "See It. Be It.” Freshmen learned about different skilled trade career pathways and how their interests, skills, creativity, and curiosity can lead to in-demand, high-paying jobs.

Students heard from local leaders and professionals, including U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth, Lisa Guzman with the Chicago Federation of Labor, Trade Collective Co-founder Neil Gambow, and ETHS Superintendent Marcus Campbell. They all shared their personal journeys and career advice, and gave powerful messages to Wildkits about opportunity and empowerment.

This event marks a growing commitment to expanding career-connected learning opportunities for all ETHS students.
