Summer School 2026 - Registration is Open!

Current and incoming families can now register for Summer School 2026 through the ETHS Web Store.

Course Information
Summer School offers a variety of courses for credit in 13-day and 26-day formats.

  • All core academic courses required for graduation are available to students who need to repeat an English, Math, History, Science, or PE course due to a failing grade. These courses are offered only in the 26-day format. (June 1 - July 9).


Summer School 2026: Session Dates and Hours
Summer School begins on June 1. There is no school on Fridays beginning on June 19.

  • 26-day courses begin on June 1 and end on July 9. Classes are scheduled 8:00am-10:30am or 11:05am-1:35pm.
  • 13-day courses operate in two sessions. Classes are scheduled 8:00am-1:35pm.
    • Session 1 (June 1 - June 17)
    • Session 2 (June 18 - July 9)

Driver's Education
Driver's Education registration will open on March 10. Interested students must be 15 years +3 months old by June 1, 2026.

  • Pre-registration. Starting February 17, current ETHS students must email their counselor to request taking a Driver's Education course during the summer session. Selected students will be given additional information on how to register online for the course.
  • Fees. $70 for registration and $400 for the course.


Lunch
Students will have the option of buying lunch on campus or bringing their lunch. Summer School has a closed campus. Students enrolled in courses for the entire day should expect to stay in the building from 8:00am-1:35pm.


Attendance
There are no excused absences during Summer School. Students must attend classes each day to meet Illinois guidelines for earning high school credits during the summer. Each Summer School day is equal to more than a week of study during the regular school year.

  • The last days of each session (June 17 and July 9) are required attendance days and are full days of class.
