ETHS Garden & Farm-to-School Program
The ETHS Garden and Farm-to-School Program connects students to healthy food and sustainable agriculture through hands-on learning and local food sourcing. The program supports our Nutrition Services team by providing fresh, organic produce for student meals year-round. Through student involvement, partnerships, and a commitment to sustainability, ETHS is proud to grow and harvest much of what ends up on students’ plates.
Student Involvement
Students are essential to the success of the garden and farm program. ETHS students participate through:
-
After-school garden programs
-
Urban Agriculture courses
-
Summer employment and volunteer opportunities
Whether working in the soil or supporting sustainability efforts, students gain hands-on experience that connects food, health, and community.

Throughout the year, students will have opportunities to try new local foods in our cafeterias and during special taste tests.
Current local menu offerings include:
-
Eggs from Bland Family Farm
-
Green leaf lettuce and apple varieties from Silver Creek Farms
-
Green curly kale from Spence Farm
