Conferences

Evanston Township High School (ETHS) holds conferences twice a year, typically near the end of the first and third quarters. These conferences provide a valuable opportunity for parents and guardians to connect with their student’s teachers, discuss student progress, and explore how we can work together to support their growth and success. Conferences are held virtually, so you can join from wherever you are.

Sign-Up for Conferences

How to Sign Up for Conferences

Families can use PowerPTC to schedule conferences with teachers. Follow the instructions below to create your conference schedule.

Instructions
1. Go to our Conference Sign-Up platform. On the Conference Sign-Up platform, make sure the screen says "Log in with Single Sign-On" at the top. (If you see a "Forgot Password" link, you are on the wrong page.)
2. Log in using your Home Access Center parent/guardian username and password.

Log in to the ETHS Conference Sign-Up screen with your Home Access Center parent/guardian account username and password.* You’ll see “Log in with Single Sign-On” at the top of the left side of the screen. If you see “Power PTC” at the top of the screen and “Please logIn” at the top left of the screen and there’s a “Forgot Password” link, you are at the wrong screen.

Note: Student HAC accounts will not work for Conference Sign-Ups. Your HAC username is not an email address.
3. Build your Conference Schedule.
  • Click on Conference Schedule.
  • Select the conference date.
  • Choose a starting time for your conferences.
  • Select the number of minutes you want between conferences. This is your "break" time.

By default, all classes will be included for your conferences. If you do not want to schedule a conference for every class, simply remove the checkmark next to any class you would like to skip.

4. Change Student (if you have more than one student at ETHS).

If you have more than one student, you will see an option to schedule all appointments for another student. Uncheck that box if you do not want to schedule a conference with every teacher of the other student at the same time the schedule is created for the current student.

If you are scheduling conferences for more than one student, you can switch between them by clicking the Change Student link in the left menu and then selecting the student’s name to view the schedule created for that student. 
5. Print, email, or save your schedule. Finally, click Print Schedule to create a hard copy, Email Schedule to send a copy to yourself via email, or Add to Calendar to save it directly to your calendar. This ensures you have easy access to your conference times when the day arrives.
Troubleshooting Login Issues

If you receive a “Login Failed” message when using your ETHS HAC username and password to sign in to PowerPTC, please log in to the Home Access Center once. Complete any security questions or update your password if prompted. After that, return to Conference Sign-Up and try logging in again.
