Board Meetings

As part of its oversight function, the Board requires district leaders and staff to produce reports on a variety of topics over the course of the year. Some of these reports are in writing; some are oral reports to committees or at a Board meeting.

A board resolution is an official decision or formal statement adopted by the Board of Education. Resolutions are used to express the Board’s position, authorize specific actions, or establish policies on important matters affecting the district.

• Resolutions are voted on by the full Board and become part of the official record.

• They may address topics such as approving contracts, adopting policies, recognizing achievements, or expressing support for community initiatives.

Resolutions allow the Board to make decisions in a clear, official way and communicate its positions or actions to the community and district staff.

The District 202 Board of Education values input from the community and welcomes members of the public to speak at open Board meetings. Public comment provides an opportunity for community members to share feedback, raise concerns, or express perspectives on school-related issues. For more information, visit the Public Comment page.
