Committees
Board committees are smaller groups made up of one or more members of the Board of Education. These committees focus on specific areas of the district’s work. Committees allow board members to study issues in depth, develop recommendations, and provide guidance to the full board. While committees help shape decisions and provide expertise, final decisions are made by the full Board of Education at official board meetings. Committees do not have the authority to act independently of the board.
