Board of Education

The Evanston Township High School District 202 Board of Education serves as the governing body for the district. The Board is made up of seven elected Members who serve four-year terms.

The Board is responsible for setting policies, approving budgets, and ensuring that ETHS fulfills its mission to educate all students to their fullest potential. Working in partnership with the Superintendent, the Board ensures the advancement of the district's vision, mission, and goals.

Meet the Board

The Board of Education:

  • Establishes policies that guide the operation of ETHS.

  • Adopts and revises policies.

  • Oversees district finances and adopts the annual budget.

  • Hires and evaluates the Superintendent.

  • Monitors student achievement and progress on district goals.

  • Engages the community and responds to feedback.

As an elected body, the Board is accountable to the community and operates under the Illinois School Code and the Illinois Open Meetings Act.
