Career Pathways Guide

The ETHS Career Pathways Programs of Study Guide is designed to help students connect their course selections and extracurricular activities to their career interests and future plans. Using a career pathway framework, the guide outlines occupational options and the educational preparation needed across various career fields.

Today’s employment outlook shows that most jobs require education or training beyond high school. Whether a student plans to attend a four-year university, a two-year college, join the military, or enter the workforce, exploring possible pathways early is an important step.

Students’ interests may change throughout high school, and that’s expected. This guide encourages exploration of multiple areas to help students discover where their skills and passions align.

We encourage students and families to use this guide alongside the ETHS Course Request Guide when selecting courses and activities. Thoughtful course planning should consider high school graduation requirements, college admission expectations, and career preparation to create a pathway that supports students’ goals.
