Wildkit Academy

Empowering academic success for all students.

Wildkit Academy is a free Saturday academic support program open to all Evanston Township High School students. Held on select dates throughout the school year, the program provides a structured, supportive environment where students can receive one-on-one help with coursework, complete assignments, explore enrichment opportunities, and access resources related to college and career planning.

At Wildkit Academy, ETHS educators are available to offer tutoring, homework help, and other guidance tailored to students' individual academic needs. Students may work independently or in groups and are encouraged to use the time in a way that supports their success.

Located in The Hub, Wildkit Academy is designed to be flexible and welcoming—no registration is required, and students may drop in as needed. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided at no cost.

Wildkit Academy offers:
  • Drop-in academic support from ETHS teachers and staff
  • Tutoring, homework help, and test prep
  • Creative workshops and enrichment activities
  • College and career planning, including application support and resume help
  • A restorative option to clear tardy detentions

What to Expect

If it’s your first time attending Wildkit Academy, here’s what the experience will look like:

Arrive and Check In

Wildkit Academy takes place in The Hub. Staff will be there to greet you. You’ll scan in with your Student ID for each session (this will make sure your attendance is tracked and tardies are cleared). Optional: Breakfast is available in West Cafeteria between 8:15am–8:55am.

Get Started

Once you are scanned in, you’ll notice the space is organized into different sections by subject (like math, science, history, etc.). Find the area that matches the subject(s) you need help with. You can choose how you want to use your time:

  • Get one-on-one help from an ETHS teacher
  • Join a small group working on similar assignments or preparing for the same test
  • Work independently and raise your hand when you have a question

Be sure to bring your Chromebook and charger, assignments or notes, and any materials for the class(es) you want help in. Headphones are fine if you need them for classwork or focus.

Stay for One or Both Sessions

You can stay for just one session or both—it’s up to you. You can clear up to 8 tardies (4 per session).

  • Session 1: 9:00–10:25am

  • Break: 10:25–10:35am (snacks available)
  • Session 2: 10:35am–12:00pm
