Testing Center
The ETHS Testing Center provides a quiet, supervised space for students to make up missed classroom tests, quizzes, and exams due to an excused absence.
Students must coordinate with their teacher to arrange a make-up assessment. Students can reserve a time in the Testing Center using myETHS. In addition, students with extended time accommodations through an IEP or 504 Plan may use the Testing Center to complete in-class assessments.
Note: The ACT, AP Exams, PSAT/NMSQT, and other college entrance or state-required assessments are administered through the ETHS Office of Research, Assessment, and Evaluation. The Testing Center does not coordinate these exams.

Students can schedule their make-up test using myETHS. Appointments should be made at least one school day in advance to allow time for teachers to submit your test to the Testing Center. For instructions on how to schedule an appointment in the Testing Center, view the Testing Center User Guide for Students.
- Appointments can be made before school, during regular school hours, and after school.
- During the school day, students may use the Testing Center only during a free block, lunch block, or study hall.
- Students may not miss class to complete a make-up test.
- Once you schedule your appointment in myETHS, your teacher will automatically receive a notification. Confirm with your teacher that the test will be available.
- The Testing Center is closed before school on Late Start Days and after school on Early Dismissal Days.
- Appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled using myETHS.
Walk-ins
Walk-ins are allowed on a limited basis, but space is limited to 10 students at a time. Students with appointments are given priority, and walk-in students may be asked to return at another time if the Testing Center is full. If you do not have an appointment, the Testing Center may not have received your test yet, and you may not be able to take it that day.
Testing Center Guidelines & Procedures
Students must arrive no later than 5 minutes after the bell, unless they have a pass from a staff member. Students will follow these procedures and expectations:
-
Scan in using your Student ID (physical or digital).
-
Tests will not be administered if you arrive late or if there isn’t enough time remaining to complete the assessment.
- The Testing Center Monitor will provide instructions on what materials you are allowed to use (e.g., books, calculators).
- Phones and other electronic devices must be silenced or turned off and may be collected during testing.
- You will be assigned a seat number and given your test. Please clear your desk of all items except those approved by your teacher.
- Once you begin, you must remain in the Testing Center until the test is complete.
- When finished, submit your test to the Testing Center Monitor before leaving.
- If testing during the school day, you may leave the Testing Center with a pass once you’ve completed your test.
- Academic honesty is expected at all times. Any violations of testing instructions or instances of academic dishonesty (including unauthorized use of electronic devices) will be reported to the student’s teacher and Dean.
