Transition Services

The Special Education Department provides transition services to support students with disabilities as they prepare to move from high school to life after graduation. This includes planning for further education, employment, independent living, and community participation. The process is a team effort involving the student, family, and school staff, who work together to develop goals and identify the skills and supports needed for success beyond high school.

Services may include career exploration, job training, college preparation, life skills instruction, and connecting families with community resources. The goal is to empower students to become as independent and successful as possible in their adult lives.

Post-High School Planning Resources

Preparing for life after high school can involve many steps, from exploring career options to understanding college accommodations or community programs. Below are resources to help students and families navigate post-high school planning, including education, employment, and independent living options.

These resources are provided for informational purposes only. Evanston Township High School does not endorse or recommend any particular organization, program, or service. Families are encouraged to evaluate these resources based on their individual needs.
