Project Lead the Way

ETHS is proud to be recognized as a Project Lead The Way Distinguished School. This honor celebrates our commitment to empowering students with real-world, hands-on STEM learning.

Project Lead The Way (PLTW) is a nationally recognized STEM curriculum that empowers students to develop in-demand knowledge and skills through hands-on, real-world learning experiences. At ETHS, PLTW is offered through our Engineering program, providing students with opportunities to explore college and career fields building critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Through PLTW courses, ETHS students can earn college credit, build a competitive resume, and gain experience with industry tools and practices.

Grade Weight

PLTW courses are more challenging than regular classes. Accordingly, these courses have weighted grades and add 1.0 point to the grade value. Weighted GPA considers the difficulty level of advanced courses when calculating a student’s GPA. For example, an A (4.0) in an AP class counts as 5.0 toward your GPA.
