Volunteer

Evanston Township High School welcomes members of our school community who wish to contribute their time and talents to support the educational experience of our students. From one-time events to ongoing programs, there are many ways to get involved.

Anyone with a connection to ETHS—family members, alumni, and community members—is welcome to express interest in volunteering. Opportunities vary by department or activity and are based on student and program needs.

All potential volunteers must complete a registration process with the Educational Services Department before beginning service. Please see How to Become a Volunteer below.

What is an ETHS volunteer?

  • Supporting athletics and fine arts programs
  • Helping with college and career readiness activities
  • Serving as a mentor or club sponsor
  • Volunteer athletic coaches

Expectations for Volunteers

All volunteers must follow applicable district policies and procedures, including sign-in protocols, identification requirements, and policies related to confidentiality, student safety, mandated reporting, and harassment. Volunteers may be required to attend training sessions as a condition of service.
