Hours & Entrance Information

During the school day, all visitors to the ETHS main campus must enter through Entrance 1 (Dodge Avenue) or Entrance 2 (Wildkit Drive). These entrances are open from 7:30am to 4:30pm on regular school days. View the Campus Map (Floor 1) for door locations.

At the Day School and Transition House, all visitors must check in with the Safety Office located at the main entrance of the building.

Visitor Check-in

All visitors must check in with the Safety Office, present a valid photo ID, and wear a visitor pass while on campus. Visitor passes must be worn visibly at all times and returned at check-out. This process supports our commitment to maintaining a safe school environment.

Visitors are strongly encouraged to schedule an appointment in advance. All visitors must have an ETHS staff member who is coordinating and responsible for their visit. Visitors will not be granted access to the building unless a staff member has confirmed the visit with the Safety Office.

Schedule a Visit

Visitors are strongly encouraged to schedule an appointment with the staff member(s) they wish to meet prior to arriving at the school. Teachers, administrators, and other staff may not be available to meet with parents, guardians, or visitors without a scheduled appointment.

All visitors must be coordinated by an ETHS staff member. Access to the building will not be granted without confirmation of the visit from the staff member through the Safety Office.

Parking Information

Visitor parking is available in designated areas in Lots 1, 2, and 3. During school hours, please park only in marked visitor spots to avoid fines or towing. Student and staff parking areas are restricted from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on school days. View our parking lot map.

Street parking is available in the surrounding area, but spaces are limited. Please read the posted signs for any parking rules or restrictions on each block.

Bicycle parking is available near Entrances 1, 2, and 3.

Attending an Event at ETHS

Families, community members, and other visitors attending events outside of school hours do not need to check in at the Safety Office. Please follow the arrival instructions provided by the event organizer.

Campus Tours

ETHS offers guided campus tours on select Saturdays during the school year. These 60-minute tours highlight academic, athletic, and arts spaces and are designed for prospective families, community members, educators, and others interested in learning more about ETHS. For more information and to register for a campus tour, visit the Campus Tours page.

Families currently living outside of Illinois and considering a move to Evanston/Skokie District 202 can request a private school tour. For more details, visit the Campus Tours page.

Accessible seating is also available at events.
