Northwestern Partnership

A collaborative partnership between ETHS and Northwestern University that expands educational opportunities and strengthens community impact.

Evanston Township High School and Northwestern University share a sense of pride and longstanding partnership that provides students, educators, and the broader Evanston community with unique opportunities to learn, collaborate, and grow together. Established in 2012 as part of Northwestern’s “Good Neighbor, Great University” initiative, the Partnership Office connects resources, expertise, and opportunities between the two institutions.

ETHS and Northwestern have created a national model for what a university–high school partnership can look like when rooted in innovation, shared resources, and community impact. Their histories are intertwined with the city’s growth and development, each playing a significant role in shaping Evanston into a suburban educational hub.

The Partnership Office coordinates collaborative programs, research, and outreach between ETHS and Northwestern. By leveraging the strengths of both institutions, we aim to create meaningful opportunities for ETHS and Northwestern students and contribute to a more informed, engaged, and inclusive Evanston.
