Facility Rentals

Evanston Township High School welcomes community use of a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces outside of school hours. These facilities include performing arts facilities, gyms, athletic fields, and multipurpose rooms.

Facilities are available to government agencies, community organizations, businesses, nonprofits, and individuals (over the age of 21) as a public service, subject to availability and approval. Please review the ETHS Facility Use Guidelines before completing a rental request form.

ETHS Use and Rentals Guidelines

Rental fees vary based on the space, time, and type of organization.
Proof of liability insurance is required for all rentals.
Events must follow ETHS safety protocols and district policies.
Additional fees may apply for custodial services, equipment, or security.

District events and maintenance requirements have preference in scheduling. Facilities are available for a fee, first-come, first-served, on an equitable basis, regardless of the beliefs of the groups requesting their use, and regardless of age, sex, race, religion, national origin, or other protected classification. Permission to use ETHS facilities does not constitute in any way an endorsement by the district of an organization or its activities, or content or viewpoints shared or expressed by participants in any event.

How to Request a Facility

To request to rent an ETHS facility, please follow the steps below:

Review the Facility Usage Agreement.
Print and complete a rental request form.
Submit your rental request to the appropriate contact:

Food and Catering Guidelines

To maintain a safe and compliant environment for all events hosted at ETHS, food service and catering must follow specific protocols. Requirements vary depending on the nature of the event and the source of the food. Please review the information below carefully to ensure adherence to district policies and local health regulations.

Public Events with Food

If your event is open to the public or involves ticket sales to the public, you must follow City of Evanston food safety guidelines. One of the following is required:

Obtain a Temporary Event Food Permit from the City of Evanston Health Department, or
Use an approved food source, such as ETHS Westend Catering or another licensed food provider.

Private Group Events

Private events—such as staff potlucks, club meetings, or parent group gatherings—are not open to the general public and do not require a Temporary Event Food Permit from the City of Evanston. These events are exempt from public food service regulations.

Terrace Dining Room Events

All events in the Terrace Dining Room must be fully catered by Westend Catering Services, the in-house provider at ETHS. Food from external vendors is not permitted in this space. If you plan to bring in outside food or organize a potluck-style event, you will need to reserve a different room.
